Every child deserves to play.
We're raising KSh 1,229,415 to bring sports, mentorship and opportunity to Ukwala Boys Primary School.
At Brahams Foundation, we believe talent doesn't wait. It grows on the football pitches, running tracks and open fields of every school in Kenya including the ones without jerseys, without boots and sometimes without a proper ball.
Following the successful early launch of our Sports Initiative at Karuoth Primary School, we're now bringing the same programme to Ukwala Boys Primary School in Ugenya Sub-County, Siaya. This is a 12-month project designed to discover talent early through structured sports participation, support learning by complementing Kenya's CBC curriculum and build community because sports teaches teamwork, discipline and hard work in ways a classroom alone cannot.
- Playing gear: 22 player jerseys, 4 goalkeeper kits, 22 pairs each of training and playing boots, shield guards, socks
- Training equipment: Footballs, cones, agility ladders, hurdles, tactical boards, whistles, stopwatches.
- Match Day: Referee kits, goal posts and nets, medals, trophies, first aid kit
- Learning materials: Exercise books, geometrical sets, pens, pencils for 22 core participants.
- Match nutrition: Glucose and trip meals for event participants
- Administration and security: Ensuring area security and order is maintained on event day
Ukwala Boys Primary School sits in the heart of Ugenya Sub-County. It represents the exact kind of school our Sports Initiative is designed for: full of energy, full of talent and short of the equipment needed to turn that into opportunity. By supporting this school, you help us build a replicable model for every school in the Ukwala Ward and beyond.
